Review of Muppet Treasure Island (1996) by Chad D — 03 Aug 2013
Incredibly entertaining, constantly funny, and thoroughly delightful, Muppet Treasure Island returns the Muppet series to full force, and The Muppets haven't been this amazing since The Muppet Movie.
Tim Curry is as gleefully entertaining as ever, and the usual Muppet gags are as solid and entertaining as could be in a film that is enjoyable for adults and children alike. Some of the musical numbers are incredibly, but some others are downplayed by the main character's (Kevin Bishop playing Jim Hawkins) sometimes off-key singing.
