Review of Munich (2005) by Sarah . — 18 Jul 2009
Alright so people are going to argue with me yet again because of my apparent low rating of this film. Let me try and justify my reasons - even though I shouldnt have to. First of all the length of this movie is tiresome.
I dont think I would be able to sit through this movie without at least fast forwarding through parts. However, saying that I dont think there is anything I could fast forward through because although it is long I think all of the scenes are quite essential.
I think the main reason I didnt love this film was because throughout the majority of it I either felt confused or like I didnt really understand what was going on. I still am unsure about certain things.
On the good side though, the acting by all parties was very well done. Eric and Geoffrey and Ciarian all did very good jobs of pulling off their required accents. Daniel Craig didnt as much however I think that he was supposed to be a South Africa character in which case the accent was fine.
But as I mentioned there is a lot I am unsure about. So that is my main reason. I just didnt get attached to it. On another note its the first time ive ever seen a sex scene combined with a montage of killing.
Interesting combination if you ask me. Oh, and I swear I saw a dead body breathing.
