Review of Munich (2005) by Isadore H — 08 Oct 2016
Based on true events after the Munich debacle at the Olympics, and starring Eric Bana, Munich is a film about a small team sent to kill the men who planned the operation. Munich definitely has some good stuff in it, the acting, the cinematography is great, and some good action scenes.
My problem with it though is that none of the characters were that relatable. Daniel Craig was the most interesting to me, but even he was a little boring. For a 3-hour movie, Munich is surprisingly short on depth.
I never felt much of any of the actions that were made caused anything significant to happen, I know there were some themes about guilt and questioning if they were doing the right thing, but the characters were so thinly written I just didn't care.
However, there is just enough interesting things going on in the background that kept me watching it with a little intrigue. Munich is fine, but probably won't blow you away. That sex scene at the end was fucking weird though.
