Review of Munich (2005) by Claudette A — 31 Mar 2010
A Hollywood action flick with pretensions. Spielberg wanted to make a messagey film about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, terrorism and its repercussions, the morality of assassinations among other issues, but at its heart, Munich is little more than good old fashioned guns 'n' espionage movie.
Add faux-Israelis, even worse faux-South African Jews, cringingly bad sex scenes and some dubious history into the mix and you have one confused mess of a film.
