Review of Munich (2005) by Ramanathan I — 08 Aug 2011
Steven Spielberg's violent movie is a meditation for peace in the region. Munich is a painful movie to watch but is also rewarding in the experience since it asks such painful questions on the existence of the bloody cycle of violence and counter violence.
The never-ending circle of violence, the murky quicksand of retribution, the loss of innocence, the blurring perceptions of justice and nationalism dominate the fabric of this brilliant and urgent political thriller by Spielberg.
