Review of Munich (2005) by Jason M — 30 Nov 2011
The back bone of the film was great, but I think the script itself was incomplete, hence leaving a big drop at the ending. And also, the complicated emotions and psychotic trauma the protagonist has gone through might be a bit too much for Eric Bana to translate for the audience. Probably not the right guy for the job.
In certain places, Steven Spielberg succeeded very well at prolonging and adding spices to tense moments, making it incredibly gripping and heart thumping. But many of those flashbacks are confusing, especially when mixing it with Eric's sex scene, the fact is, they simply does not go together. All in all, there were some great scenes, but a pile of mess mostly. Really enjoyed Daniel Craig's blue eyes btw.
