Review of Munich (2005) by Andrew B — 14 Sep 2012
Finally got round to watching this. Let's begin by saying it was far too long. And Daniel Craig's South African accent came and went a bit. Despite its lengthy running time, it was a very well acted and thought provoking film. Inspired by real events, Munich is stirring to watch.
Although the film retells the tragic murders of the Israeli athletes during the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, the murders serve as the vehicle to a more-expansive story. While Munich does take an eye-opening glance at what happened in Munich, it then concentrates on the after-effectsâ??more specifically, how the Israelis avenged the killings.
Top film. But give yourself time to watch it!
