Review of Mulholland Drive (2001) by Michael T — 27 Apr 2013
Mulholland Drive is, of course, an offence against narrative order, but it is also an intoxicating liberation of the senses, a breathtaking odyssey into the poisonous neon-drenched city of dreams and its dreamers.
This openly dreamlike picture, evocative of the greatest elements of the film-noir tradition, is an unqualified masterpiece, and David Lynch's magnum opus. Pure cinema.
