I LOVED Twin Peaks, so I thought I would love this film since it was created by David Lynch while he was still working on Twin Peaks (in fact this movie was intended to be a spinoff for one of the characters in twin peaks but ABC wasn't interested).

I thought the movie was just "eh". I mostly felt like there was too much of a cop-out ending. I read that half of the movie was initially filmed as a pilot and years later they filmed the rest as a movie.

I think David Lynch probably had great places to take this story as a tv series and it just didn't do the story justice to make it into a movie.
