Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Sergio R — 16 Jul 2012
Is fascinating when a movie gives you more questions than answers, and Mulholland Drive is a dream that begins very coherent and traps the spectator into a nightmare with constant challenges. Is plagued of David Lynch singular directional touch and a vibrant performance by Naomi Watts.
Confusing, weird, smartly enlaced, truly not easy to follow, is like a labyrinth, when you think that something is the exit you gets to a more difficult road. Open to hundreds of theories (and maybe thats the whole point), with a undisputed allegory to Hollywood dreams and the consequential madness, is so brilliant and maniacal that is no less than a masterpiece.
