Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Darien S — 15 Dec 2012
The film's non linear and dream like structure may be frustrating but David Lynch knows that a good film delights in fascinating imagery and compelling scenes. This film is continually baffling and could be viewed many times over without quite understanding how to interpret the vents that play themselves out.
Naomi Watts is terrific, playing two characters (one an archetype, the other a disturbing portrait of depression). The film is tremendously creepy and also oddly hilarious in other segments.
