Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Harry W — 04 Apr 2015
This is a slow movie about the mind bifurcation. I find it a second Lynch's (director) attempt on a subject. The first one was his "Lost Highway" but I think in "Lost Highway" too little clues are given.
I think "Lost Highway" splits in many meanings with almost no story left to the viewer. Here it is mostly the same, but the main story is somewhat preserved, which makes it a more complete in my eyes.
I also think this film should be watched at least twice -- because on the first seening it is hard feel the full amount of inspiration which Lynch put in this movie.
