Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Mago B — 29 Apr 2015
You have to hand it to David Lynch: he knows how to mess with your mind. I'm sure in this beautifully directed film there is some connection between every strange and absurd thing, but part of its allure is it elusiveness and constant audience speculation.
This is the mark of a really great film: people still talk about what it means. Classic Lynch style. At the heart of this mind-bending film (part of the colloquially titled Mind f*&k genre which Donnie Darko and Memento also belong to) is a tragic love story of broken hearts and dreams.
