The zombies (people who somehow get an infection from rats and then become rat people) are utterly comical, which certainly undermines the genuinely tense and serious atmosphere of the rest of the film.
Though, like so many other "zombie" movies before it, it is wholly unoriginal, it's still well made and should appeal to fans of the genre.
