Review of Mudbound (2017) by Jeremiah C — 18 Jun 2017
Mudbound tells the story of two men return home from World War II to work on a farm in rural Mississippi where they struggle to deal with racism and adjusting to life after war.
Overall, Mudbound is an exquisite story of two men returning from World War 2, dealing with racism, and struggles in their small town in the American South. Mudbound truly is a magnificent film, but gets boring at times, and too, is a film that you cannot take a restroom break on, because of what the film is trying to say. It has masterful story-telling, which is a positive. But, I feel the film sometimes gets too carried away with melodrama, which is a minus with the film. However, Mudbound is a recommendation... for older people.
