Review of Mud (2013) by Gavin S — 01 Dec 2013
Mud. A coming of age story in true Mark Twain essence that would have made the classic writer proud. So much can be said about this film. So much that I am not going to say. I have watched it and now I want to keep a piece of the film in my heart for as long as I live.
No over the top action-packed sequences. No high speed chases. Just gold old-fashioned acting with a performance by a very solid cast. This is the type of film that movie buffs pray for. Mud does such a great job giving you those elements that the human heart feeds on that it is almost hard to separate yourself from the fact that you are watching a film.
Love, friendship and a sense of inevitability surround the film and definitely will stir up feelings and leave a lasting impression for a lifetime.
