Review of Mud (2013) by Bobby C — 02 Jan 2014
Mud is a good movie and definitely one of the first of those that started out in what is shaping out to be one of the best dramatic years in recent memory. Matthew McConaughey's performance is definitely the takeaway people will have at first but the movie is good because of the simple yet successful storytelling and the parallels that the characters have with one another.
Not to mention Jeff Nichols does a great job of beautifying the BFE that Arkansas is. Highly recommended.
