Review of Mud (2013) by Alex A — 29 Mar 2014
A good ol' Southern fried movie that brings to mind the brilliance of classics such as "Sling Blade," "Mud" is a fantastic character study about finding the good in what society deems as an evil person, and is definitely one of McConaughey's most likable and sympathetic roles since his resurgence.
However, the film belongs to both of its grounded, natural young stars Tye Sheridan and Jacob Lofland. You just feel like you're right there hanging out with them and going on a journey of discovery.
