A well-executed film. It's simple enough, but effective. All the acting is great, but Tye Sheridan performs as if there is a fire inside him that is building and waiting to erupt. Very impressive. No sappy endings here, this film has a literary quality that only helps this good film.
It's surprisingly short on humor, so even though the characters are easily investable, I can see some people not being completely entertained because of a lack of violence,explosions,effects, etc.
It's a good film with a really solid final act.
