Review of Mrs. Miniver (1942) by Indi V — 20 May 2011
Very obviously Allied propaganda but still very moving in its portrayal of a single English family and their struggles during the Battle of Britain. The few scenes when the war actually enters their lives are particularly effective.
Amazing that this came out during the war. Best Picture 1942.
