Review of Mrs. Miniver (1942) by Dustin G — 27 Mar 2014
The most famous piece of American war propaganda of all time. Not a film that gets a lot of talk to attention these days, but was like a Titanic in its day.
It's a little sappy and obvious and certainly dated. But it's also beautifully photographed, acted and the story is strong, if snooty to the less than upper class types.
