Review of Mrs. Miniver (1942) by Trevor C — 13 Mar 2010
Sure it's a classic and the story is great, but (this rant excluding Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon) all of the characters were unbearably annoying for me. from the "adorable" youngest child and the "charming" eldest son to the secretly "kind hearted" old woman (who's name escapes me) who always wins the flower contest, there wasn't one character I didn't hate.
I've seen the play, and oddly enough I wasn't annoyed at all (and there isn't too much of a difference in dialogue and plot).
