To Become a Better Father, a Man had to Become a Woman.

Mrs. Doubtfire is a wonderfully comedic movie about the lengths a man will go to be a loving father to his kids, even dressing up as a 60-year-old woman that is a nanny to children. The female personality Robin plays in this comedy is more doubt in some scenes, such as the big divorce, and more fire in others, like the crazy cooking-gone-wrong scene. Robin Williams got a chance to use his quote unquote voices in not just one, but two starring roles in an entire hilarious and brilliant cinema.

You might think the writers cheated by making the main character, Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams), an actor (Yes, an actor playing an actor) in kids' television in the beginning, and making him a nanny when he was Mrs. Doubtfire. However, since this is a comedy, I think it adds cleverness. This movie took a different surprise approach as it's a comedic movie with some dramatic scenes such as the divorce between Daniel and his wife, Miranda (Sally Field), right at the beginning of the movie. I guess you could say Daniel just went crazy to try to keep his kids in his life after that. This movie, however, is all about surprises. Adding the characters of Frank (Harvey Fierstein) and Stu (Pierce Brosnan) was just an ex machina that made the personality of Mrs. Doubtfire possible, but those characters made this comedy funnier.

I really enjoyed seeing Robin Williams in a dress. Who wouldn't? This was very clever because of the contrast of why all these events occurred with the ridiculous surprises that Mrs. Doubtfire's character brought to the film. I like Mrs. Doubtfire because of the funny moments that make you feel good mixed with a heart-warming storyline. I highly recommend it if you love Robin Williams and want to see one of the most hilarious movies.
