Review of Mr. Turner (2014) by Brandon C — 29 Aug 2015
What a beautiful film! The phrase "every frame a painting" has never been more true. Mr. Turner is the biopic of British painter, to be more specific, seascape artist J. William Turner; and is the story of the last 25 years of his life.
Beautifully helmed by famed FileMaker Mike Leigh and starring Timothy Spall (needs more Spall in movies today). Mr Turner covers all aspects of J.W. Turners years and is both enthralling and captivating in its daily activities of life and overall British weirdness, or more appropriately, eccentricities that Mr.
Turner himself delivers to those around him. I recommend whole heartedly. Please watch if you're a fan of biopics, it's a slow burner, though your time will be fulfilled in the long run for the viewing.
I give it more specifically 4.15 out of 5.
