Another reason 1939 is the greatest movie year ever. Everything about this movie is perfection. There's not a bad thing you can say about it, just like Jimmy Stewart's character. Does a great job of exploring the complexities of working in Congress.
"I did one bad thing but served our state in 1000 other good ways," Sen. Joe Paine tells Smith. The best movie ever made on politics.
