Review of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) by Tori D — 28 May 2009
It's Jimmy Stewart ... you can't go wrong. A great build on the ideals of American Patriotism, making for a powerful democratic battle, with James Stewart making yet another by far inspiring and moving performance, right to the very end.
Classic tunes fit the mood very well. Claude Rains makes for a great performing role. A classic that could only be made by Frank Capra.
