Review of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) by Chris S — 06 Dec 2008
This is as wonderful as Capra's other film It's a Wonderful Life as it also shows the completely good and selfless nature of its protagonist. I am not really all about patriotism but this is surely an engaging and heartbreaking film.
I cried my heart out as I watched Jefferson Smith with almost no hope left at all as he is being destroyed by his senior in the end. Jefferson Smith, at first innocent and unaware, tries to prove his innocence and show the corruption of his bosses.
