Review of Mr. Right (2016) by Amir M — 02 Jun 2016
If you are looking for a Romantic Comedy, you are looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for an action movie, this probably isn't gonna do it for you. But if you are just looking for a fun, crazy, cute, and quirky movie you have hit the jackpot.
This movie is refreshing; it's different. It messes with the genre lines and it doesn't care about all the sadness and darkness that surrounds modern action movies. Its reminiscent of "In Bruges" and "Seven Psychopaths" by introducing comedy through the main characters messed up sense of morality.
This is a take on joker from "The Dark Knight" if he decided to take over batman's job instead. Add on top of that the lovable and quirky Kendrick in a role that is much similar to her usual gig yet so different and so refreshing.
This isn't a damsel in distress movie or a knight in shinning armor. It's not a Jason Bourne movie or a dark view into a psychotic mind the likes of "natural born killer". This is 2 hours worth of quirky madness that never ceases to amuse.
