From the director of The Lion King, Rob Minkoff directed Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Steven Rea of Philadelphia Inquirer pointed out that this cartoon movies is an adaptation of the 1960's Peabody's Improbable History segments of the classic Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon series. However, Leslie Felperin of Hollywood Reporter suggested the adaptation's saving grace is its character design and use of 3D techniques to speed things up in every sense when the plot starts to flag.

Steven Rea also stated that Mr. Peabody and Sherman is a three movies in one (a time-travel movie, a father-and-son movie and a boy-meets-girl movie). New Star-Ledger's Stephen Whitty pointed out that there is a lot of materials in the cartoon movies. That is why the it is gripping flooded with non-stop actions and dramas with intensity.

End of the day, is it worth it to spend money to watch Mr. Peabody with your kids? My answer is a straight yes. The movie got good actions, touching dramas and good lessons about history. Somehow, I think the pace of the movie is a bit too fast and needs to be slow down a little bit.
