Review of Mr. Holmes (2015) by Alex Bonafide A — 10 Aug 2015
Mr. Holmes is a lovely film. The acting is fantastic, and Ian McKellan gives one of his best performances. The cinematography and musical score are gorgeous, the story is interesting, the characters are great and the moments that are supposed to make the audience feel work beautifully. Unfortunately, the plot becomes slightly convoluted and uneventful at some points, and the pace is also quite slow. That being said, I would still recommend this film.
