Review of Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) by Sandi A — 23 Jan 2008
I really liked it. I like music anyway and to see how Mr Holland goes from a night club entertainer who wants his compositions performed to a teacher whose students reflect his character is really great.
Like many of the other raters, I cried at various parts of the movie, especially when he sang for his son. And at the end. Tears are streaming down every time I see it. He is appreciated just because he does his thing with his students.
A lesson to be learned. Give to others what has been given to you.
