Mr Beans Holiday is technically based on Monsieur Hulot's Holiday, one of my favorite old-school comedies (which I might add Monsieur Hulot was an inspiration for Mr. Bean according to Rowan Atkinson).
I think it's a pretty nice story, and some of the humor works but some of it does not (at least not for my tastes).I say I like this film overall because it does mean well and tries hard.
