Review of Mr. Baseball (1992) by Ralitsa V — 07 Apr 2008
Director Fred Schepisi has done it again! You gave us "Mr. Baseball" and thank God you did! Possibly the greatest baseball movie ever, this movie brings burly American slugger (actor Tom Selleck) to Japan in a cultural comedic exchange.
Great action on the field and off (I think I smell a little romance!) - you won't believe the cultural misunderstandings between Mr. Baseball and the Japanese public. Who knew we're so different!? In the end, Mr.
Baseball teaches Japan a little bit about the great American pastime, and themselves, and goes back to America a hero. Don't miss this one! Bravo!
