Review of Mr. Baseball (1992) by Leland P — 14 Jul 2007
Very similar plot to the similarly-titled "Mr. 3000." Actually, you can watch pretty much any baseball movie about an aging veteran player (so, half of them; the other half are about hotshot rookies who need to learn some respect) and get pretty much the same plot and characters.
The only added element here was the "culture shock." I enjoyed watching the movie well enough and it *did* stand out a bit despite its more than tried and true plot, but I don't see any reason to ever re-watch it.
