If you had this to do all over again, would you?

When you think "Hitchcock", you generally think, mystery and suspense...This is neither...But don't let that scare you off, this is still one hell of a good time.

The Story: A bickering married couple finds out that they aren't really married. Trying to get his wife to remarry him, David Smith runs into a few problems...Well mainly one problem...His best friend is stealing his former wife, and his wife is having a little too much fun making her former husband jealous. It's all laughs in this great take on "American comedy". It's only about 95 minutes so it's not too long, and it moves pretty quickly, just don't expect the usual Hitchcock style.

The Cast: Carole Lombard, Robert Montgomery, Gene Raymond...Carole Lombard is great as the cold yet playful Mrs. Smith. She plays the part so well that you'll fall in love with her character 10 times over by the end of the movie. Rober Montomery plays the part of Mr. Smith, the jealous and oh-so-crafty husband/ex-husband. He's one of the most memorable Hitchcock characters, and that's saying a lot as, there's a lot of Hitchcock characters to be remembered...You won't soon forget him. Gene Raymond, the last on the list, but definately not the least, is the perfect gentlemen. He's such a loveable character that you can't help but feel sorry for him in a way because he doesn't really get all that he wants. Put these three on screen together and you've got yourself one hell of a great comedy. It's a cast that shouldn't be missed, and the kind of cast that you just don't see too much of in most of todays comedies.

One to Five Scale: 4.

It's one of the funniest movies ever created. It's from the 40's but it's still great. It's just good clean humour, the kind of thing that seems to have slipped away from modern cinema. This will take to a time where humour wasn't all about sex and juvenile jokes. A great comedy from a great director, Hitccock never ceases to amaze me.
