An ambitious adaption of the story with a great cast, impressive visuals and a solid story to boot. If you see this film without comparing it to John Farveau's 2016 Jungle Book, which is a different adaptation then you won't be disappointed.
The main problem with this film is that it's just too dark for it's own good, having very little-to-no lighthearted moments present. Which was probably done in an attempt to separate itself from Disney's 2016 adaption.
