Review of Mouchette (1967) by Eunice C — 23 Dec 2007
Another Bresson film viewed recently. unlike many art noveau directors, Bresson has been having a close and direct scrutiny of the social / econ situation in the age he lived, tackling the child and child sex abuse issues which were relatively senstive in the 60's and uncovering adult hypocrisy.
just 80+ minutes long and telling what it has to tell, it gives enough room for thought.
