Review of Motherhood (2009) by Daniel G — 04 Mar 2010
With all the recriminations, frayed nerves and pointed fingers, it makes for a curious demonstration of girl power: a film determined to nag the world into submission. I guess mums may enjoy a modicum of cathartic empathy, if indeed they have time in their lives for inessential fluff like this, but the moral - which it shares with "Case 39", oddly enough - is a strange and almost certainly unintended one, guaranteed to separate those busy creatives who backed it from those few making the effort to see it: don't have children.
