Review of Mother and Child (2009) by Sid C — 12 Oct 2010
It starts out as a bold look at the lives of two women, their relationships, and their paths to self discovery. But it is weakened by Rodrigo Garcia's perplexing decision to turn the 3rd Act into a catalogue of soap opera twists.
Despite a fine performance from Bening and able support from the rest of its well known cast, it ends with an unsatisfying whimper.
