I can't remember the last time a film gave me such strong feelings. It's basically a misogynistic psychological torture porn, but with better cinematography and respected actors. Lawrence delivers a one and a half note performance of being treated like a slave, and then beating the s*** out of.
Aronofsky is probably the only one who understands his bible allegories. If you believe that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, watch it.
