Review of mother! (2017) by Sarah W — 03 Mar 2018
I really loved this movie. It was just what I expected, a psychological horror film. It made me so uncomfortable, I just wanted to yell at the screen. I felt so involved in the movie, it was hoenstly like watching another person's nightmare.
It was intense, confusing, all over the place, and frusting. It reminds me of the nightmares I have when I'm in pain and no one around me will help me. It gives me that exact feeling. It also reminds me of an abusive relationship I was in, so if you are sensetive to that there's a warning.
I know there is suppose to be a lot of symbolism or something but I could watch and enjoy the movie without feeling like I needed to figure eveything out and it was fun, for me, to figure out what was happening, what it meant.
I don't think up need to be an artsy movie buff to enjoy this movie, just soemone open minded to this kind of horror movie.
