Review of Mother (2016) by Richard D — 02 Oct 2017
Well that is a powerful if yet perplexing film. Its chaotically filmed and meant to have multiple interpretations (celebrity, religious, etc) While the cinematography has too many close up hand held shots for my taste, it make sense for what the director is trying to achieve.
The final act is pure chaos and goes on for a long time. Finally, the narrative has a circular pattern which I was able to predict early on, but the way its executed is very well.
