Review of Motel Hell (1980) by Tony P — 15 Jul 2016
It takes all kinds of critters to watch Farmer Vincent's fritters is how I would describe this dark comedy horror from 1980 that has developed a cult following apparently.
It is basically the usual theme around this time of a roadside motel (Psycho), and chainsaws (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) as farmer Vincent and his younger sister Ida kill innocent victims to form the secret recipe for Farmer Vincent's Fritters!
The first act of the film is actually quite watchable but as the film moves into its final act it descends into a perfect cure for insomnia if you are tired!
As I write this short review I keep deducting a star from its rating so I better leave it here. Just to say I won't be revisiting.
