Review of Mortal Kombat (1995) by Jose L — 01 May 2012

I never wanted to review these movies, but since I just watched them again last night and I got pissed off, so I thought what the hell I have a few things to say about these Mortal Kombat movies. Now let's start with this Mortal Kombat movie, so all of you must know this movie is directed by Paul W.

S. Anderson and everyone should know already he is one terrible director and if you don't believe watch the Mortal Kombat movies and find out for yourself. Anyways this movie is based off the old school Mortal Kombat video games and of course I played all the video games and I very much enjoyed them.

Now as for this movie I can say that I truly and underlay hated this movie. Not only was Mortal Kombat cheesy and horribly acted, but the characters looked very stupid. Yes they put in the characters from the video games and yes they didn't change there names or there personality traits which was good, but just the look of them was all wrong.

I didn't think Sonya Blade looked at all like Sonya Blade from the video games, Scorpion and Sub-Zero kind of looked similar of what they look like in the video games, Rayden looks nothing like he does in the video games, neither does Shang Tsung, Princess Kitana, or Liu Kang.

So that really angered me that the characters looked nothing like they did in the video games. Now for the fighting scenes, the fighting scenes were okay, they were not great but they were tolerable, but one thing that wasn't tolerable was the acting.

The acting in this movie is the worst acting you will ever watch in any movie of that year, seriously none of the actors have any drive or any emotion for that matter. I really couldn't stand this movie and I really think that they ruined the video games for me.
