Comedy set in the one morning television show. Recently unemployed Becky Fuller (McAdams), a television producer, is hired to manage a wrecked and wretched morning show, Daybreak. In an attempt to save the show from almost certain death she stumbles upon a semi-retired classic and pompous news anchor Mike Pomeroy (Ford). An interesting mentor-pupil relationship develops between the two, where Becky tries to convince Mike that entertaining television doesn't have to be bad or oposed to serious news television.
This is a sweet comedy with some funny jokes that not only tells us about the disfunctional world of tv. It is a film about workaholics about the politics of the ratings, about the road to self-discovery and about friendship and admiration.
It is quite dificult to find an original comedy, and I suppose this is as close as it gets, it could be improved, though, some ideas are just browsed, mentioned, like Mike personal life. In the overall it is cute and entertaing and fun, so enjoy it.
