Review of Morning Glory (2010) by Ingela A — 29 Feb 2012

This looks random on why i'd watch this and random is correct, I chose to watch this late last night because I just kinda wanted to watch something different and light and not so serious and it kinda worked out.

Rachel McAdams is freakin hot so I was like thats a good reason and Patrick Wilson is an ok actor and I didnt care for the rest of the cast. So ultimately I was sort of intrigued by the fact that she had a dream of working in the entertainment business and I too have a similar dream so I was hoping to find that similar interest with Rachel's character and so I was semi-intrigued by the plot a bit.

I found Harrison Ford annoying as all hell, Diane Keaton im far from a fan, Jeff Goldblum, lets just say I didnt know he was still making movies. Overall the light comedy is a bit better than expected because it wasn't a full blown Rom-Com which I usually dont mind but this time I got what I wanted just a general comedy.

Sure there was a love Intrest but hey its ok, sometimes you need a time filler element. Overall the movie is far from great, acting is good(far from great), the plot simple enough to be enjoyable to anyone, the big problem I had with this is the fact that the soundtrack makes this film feel like a total chick flick which is terrible because just because the main character is a woman doesn't necessarily make a film a chick flick.

So they changed some actors, kept Rachel McAdams, kept Patrick Wilson, kept Jeff Goldblum, and changed the soundtrack to something more versatile, and tweaked little other things id say itd be better, but in all its not a terrible its light, and sometimes people need that.
