Review of Morning Glory (1933) by Brian H — 03 Dec 2007
Katharine Hepburn's first Oscar winning performance. It is a great performance. But by no means her best. She should have won for other films in later years and didn't.
But all the same her performance as the starry eyed young actress Eva Lovelace, did gain her some ground from her debut in A Bill of Divorcement and her flopsy outing in Christopher Strong.
Adolphe Menjour and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. also star.
It's a short wee film, but very delightful, and in truly Hollywood style, Eva Lovelace does become a star...but will she be a lasting one? ...
