Review of Morgan (2016) by Yoonki C — 02 Feb 2017
The majority of the people thought this film was a terrible Sci-Fi film. I can partially disagree with that. In my opinion, it isn't the worst Sci-Fi film I have seen. The premise of the film is very interesting.
Unlike others, I enjoyed the first hour of the movie. I find it very interesting with acceptable dialogue. The cinematography is very excellent. It has some incredible visuals that lights up your eyes.
The acting is also good. Especially performance from Anya Taylor-Joy was amazing and surprises me again as well as 'The Witch'. However, the film lacked on the last 30 minutes. It had action and followed the path of modern mediocre films.
It felt completely unnecessary and ruined my expectation of the film. Also, the film had a hard time figuring out it's genre. The first hour was this Sci-Fi horror that kept my attention. But the last 30 minutes was just action and suspense which felt like I was watching two separate films.
Overall, Morgan isn't terrible as critics say but it isn't the best either.
