Review of Moonstruck (1987) by Jehy T — 05 Oct 2009
DEFINITELY would have made a better play than movie.
I really didn't find it all that funny to be honest. Too much talk about absolutely nothing.
There were very few times I laughed. The "I LOST MY HAND, I LOST MY HAND!" bit was a scream, because the character is so ridiculous. And then of course anytime the grandfather came out on screen. Him and those dogs.
Olympia Dukakis was great, but she usually is in everything she does, no matter how big or small a role.
It's worth a watch if there's absolutely nothing else you have a hankering to see. See it because you want to see what the fuss is about.
