I guess I just do not get Wes Anderson and the fanfare of his films. Is there some sort of subliminal messages that I am not receiving in the long scene shots? To me, its tiresome to watch a directorial approach that aims to match Robert Altman, but timely overstays its welcome and underachieves.
Its somewhat funny, and the characters are likable, but my tastes would be satisfied if the overkill in boring scenes was cutoff and made to not exceed 30 minutes.
